Live…Breathe…Survive…
On Saturday, August 11, 2012, Live… Breathe…Survive… showcased the talents of emerging artists and designers through a charity event supporting cancer research at the ZAHZO gallery in Chelsea, NY. This event was dedicated in memoriam of Joseph Pugh and Margo Basset as well as to raise funds for the American Cancer Society in order to aid care and research for cancer patients.
It was indeed an event to pause for a cause. With uplifting music provided by DJ Juss, the ambiance provided liveliness amongst the supporters. Hosted by Shermain Jeremy, style and image enthusiast, the crowd continued to be entertained through the segue of fashions displayed during the showcase.
Special guest were even featured in the showcase as well as spectating in the crowd. Among the featured models in the showcase was America’s Next Top Model contestant, Giselle Samson, and Wilhelmina model, Ayan Elmi. In addition, the crowd received a contemporary dance performance from America’s Got Talent finalist, Joel Feliciano, who awed the onlookers with his sways and leaps. Miss New York was even a spectator in the crowd.
Designers for the evening included:
Veronica Morales
Todd Andrews
Mone Rivera
Sasha Hewks
Renee Fredrique
Langston Martin
While each designer had their own “fashionista flair”, they all gave the crowd plenty of breath taking moments with their work of art. Topping the evening to a close was an art auction which featured customized paintings from Laura Brunetti. Followed by a raffle drawing which featured giveaways from some of the sponsors.
This event took a pause for a cause to assist those who are battling from this illness to LIVE…BREATHE…SURVIVE…
