Live…Breathe…Survive…

On Saturday, August 11, 2012, Live… Breathe…Survive… showcased the talents of emerging artists and designers through a charity event supporting cancer research at the ZAHZO gallery in Chelsea, NY. This event was dedicated in memoriam of Joseph Pugh and Margo Basset as well as to raise funds for the American Cancer Society in order to aid care and research for cancer patients.

A Music & Dance Affair

Celebrations with a theme of “Music and Dance” seemed to be the happening stories in the city! The week of May 7-13th celebrated the Second Annual Harlem Jazz Shrines Festival in Harlem USA’s Historic Jazz Venues. Performances were exhibited in various Harlem landmarks including the Apollo Theater, Club Harlem, Havana San Juan, Lenox Lounge, Minton’s Playhouse, Monroe’s Uptown, Park Palace, Showman’s Jazz Club, and Small’s Paradise which all featured established and emerging artists showcasing sounds of jazz with a flair! On November 7, Lucasfilm presented a special screening of the documentary Double Victory – The Story of the Tuskegee Airmen in Their Own Words at the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in New York City.
