A ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ Extravaganza
The kickoff to styles leading to New York Fashion Week took place on Thursday, September 6, allowing celebrations for fashion to take over with tons of festivities around the city! While the energy of the city was blissful with participants flocking to the events to experience their own adventures of gazing colorful layouts of clothing and snagging free goodies, my adventures allowed me to experience an unforgettable ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ event with the Harlem’s Fashion Row/Marriott Pop-Up at the Renaissance Hotel in Midtown.
An evening of fashion with FUN in the theme allowed the event goers at this location to design their own cupcake provided complimentary by Magnolia Bakery! Yes, dressing up cupcakes with icing and sprinkles on top is indeed fashionable and a cleaver way to have sweets begin a pop-up treat!
While watching models rip the runway is quite an experience, having the opportunity to go from room to room and focus on the designer’s piece of art is another. The Pop-Up Shop allowed spectators to have a feel of each designer’s creative genome by visiting their room. Each designer’s room had a “fashionista flair”, which expressed hues of creativity in their work. From shades of Royal Amethyst, Alizarin Crimson, Ash Grey, Buff, Apple Green, Avocado, Imperial Blue, Ghost White, and Rich Maroon, each scheme had a shade of color, which created a vibe in each room.
Designers for the evening included:
Global// Nobility Plutocracy
DLUX B. Marie
BruceGlen Latisha Daring
Gwen Beloti Crystal Streets
The Lip Bar Elly Clay
One of One Stacy Armand
Washington Roberts Jon Gray
B. Oyama Cheyenne Beam
LyraLoveStar
A night of fashion with treats created a ‘Fashion’s Night Out’ with a unique flair of creativity from all the designers.
“Fashion is not something that exists in dresses only. Fashion is in the sky, in the street, fashion has to do with ideas, the way we live, what is happening.” – Coco Chanel
