The Law of Numbers

Activities from this week gave me the opportunity to reflect on the possibilities of one’s experiences during their journey. As my adventures to various happenings in the city allowed me to meet a diverse crowd of people who had intriguing stories about their ultimate goals, I started thinking about the course of life. One of my favorite quotes from the movie “Forrest Gump” explains just how mysterious life can be with the unforgettable saying from Forrest which goes, “Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you’re gonna get.” Whether in personal or professional endeavors, there are some instances, which may happen in our life that can detour us from pursing our ultimate goal.

What is your ultimate goal? Maybe you dreamed of being the that rocking DJ or the photographer who can capture the beauty out of every image in sight or the model who wants to share their beauty with the world or the football player who wants to use the passion they have in sports to annihilate competitors on the grid or the individual that wants to break into corporate in their desired field or maybe your goal is to become an entrepreneur of a company your passionate about!

As we all have varied goals, it’s during our journey in life, we at times, come across some stumbling blocks that could be due to finances, waiting on others, personal issues, and the list goes on. But one theory I know that works well is the Law of Numbers. What I love about this theory is the truth it teaches us. As long as you keep on trying to pursue your ultimate goals in life despite the “no’s”, setbacks, and other stumbling blocks, there will be a “YES” at some point during your journey. It’s during the “no” season where you will go through your box of chocolates and have a chance to explore life. This may be an alternative route to your ultimate destination, but in the end, when you finally get there, you will look back and have a story to share with the world on how the Law of Numbers theory worked for you.

Wishing you all the best,
