What better way to celebrate life, than to observe an occasion on a weekend where our country also saluted those who have served our nation. On Sunday, November 10, 2013, L.J Holloway & Associates, Inc. presented “An Evening with Will Downing” to support the 7^th Annual “Celebration of Life” Benefit Concert at the Florida Theater. A concert celebration, which was ‘fund-filled’ to award scholarships to deserving students majoring in the disciplines of health and science where they are underrepresented.

Master of Ceremonies for the evening included Attorney Natalie Jackson and Benjamin Crump Esq. ‘The Celebration of Life’ Benefit was a vision, which was put to life after the founder, LaShonda J. Holloway, had her own health scare and noticed the underrepresentation of diversity in healthcare. Today, her dream and team have supported deserving students in their annual celebration a chance to nourish awardees financially and through mentoring to pursue a career in the healthcare industry.

The evening was indeed a celebration of life and a jubilee of 25 years of music from sophisticated soul artist, Will Downing, who experienced a health scare in 2007. Taking the audience on a musical journey about “A Day in the Life of Will Downing”.  Opening with his version of the song “Free” then, segueing to his other hits including but not limited to “A Million Ways”. After the concert was the after party for those to continue celebrating and raise funds for the cause. The benefit concert was a glorification of life, love, and cheers to health!  To praise the achievements of these students were supporters from various organizations, leaders in the community, and friends of L.J Holloway & Associates.
